About Mack
Mack Williams is a Bay Area-based photographer and social worker with nine years of experience behind the lens and a deep commitment to community care. Her work in San Francisco has spanned a range of social services, supporting at-risk youth, adults with disabilities, unhoused individuals, and institutionalized people living with severe mental illness.
Drawn to 35mm black-and-white film, Mack’s photography leans toward street and lifestyle imagery, capturing raw, unfiltered moments of daily life. She gravitates toward documenting Bay Area subcultures—portraying them with honesty, nuance, and empathy. Through this work, she seeks to challenge reductive media portrayals and illuminate both individual stories and the broader threads of shared human experience.
For Mack, photography is more than art—it’s a tool for social reflection and, potentially, reform. If you’re interested in booking a session or collaborating to support this vision, please visit the contact page to get in touch.
